The SSV Ernestina-Morrissey home port is New Bedford, MA; however, she is part of the permanent fleet of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The National Landmark is operated by the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The Academy offers multidisciplinary, hands-on educational, experiential learning programs tailored to meet the specific needs of schools, colleges and other educational and cultural organizations. Program offerings range from dockside visits for any age, day-sails and overnight experiential learning camps. All programs aim to foster a love for the sea and an appreciation for the history of the SSV Ernestina-Morrissey.
